Every summer, CEES sponsors TAMIU Earth Science/Geology minors on a 2 to 3 day trip to Austin, TX for ESRI-certified computer training in ArcGIS (Geographic Information Systems). Last summer Dr. Bennett and several Earth Science minors (Kristina Salinas, Lucero Mendez, Cande Tijerina, Jesus Perez, Homero Palacios, Nancy Garcia and Raul Ugalde) received training in ArcGIS level II from Ms. Karen Steede-Terry, a highly-experienced Instructor working with ESRI’s Educational Services Division. CEES is dedicated to it’s mission of supplying cutting-edge educational experiences to TAMIU’s students and faculty.
